I currently have my cable going into the "Cable IN" port on my cable box. Why does TIVO indicated on their set up page to put the cable into the "RF Port" on my cable box? Will this work also? I currently have that being used with a small loop cable going from "RF to RF IN" What is the correct set up?

Sounds like you have an "RF Bypass" relay on the back (a little cube with the coax loop). All this "cube" does is to provide a "pass-thru" of the cable signal if the DCT is turned off (like a TiVo in standby mode).

Just run the cable from the wall to the DCT's RF in, and the only other free coax connection to the Ant. in on your TiVo.
Or, better yet, use the Composite (yellow plug) video connection (and L/R audio) to your TiVo. (Or use the S-Video output if your cable box has it.) Leave the cable box on all of the time, and set up the TiVo for Cable Box in guided setup.

Hope this helps.

There's no cube only the "Loop Cable" connecting "RF to "RF IN" but I'll try it . Thank's

I was wondering if someone can help me out with this. Currently I can not watch one channel while recording another using my single tuner 240 TIVO with comcast because when I change TV IN-puts and go to "ANT 1" comcast scrambles most of my good anolog channels. If I was to put the cable out of the back the TIVO "RF OUT" port and then into the "ANT 1" port would I be able to receive all my anolog channels un-scrambled?

With a Series 2 single turner Tivo, there is no way to record one channel and watch another. You can only record one channel and watch a previous recorded show. You would need a Series 2 Dual Turner Tivo to do what you want. But, then you say your basic cable is scrambled. What do you mean? For example, here in St Paul, MN the only difference between basic and digital cable is the line-up order.
