After a long experience of successful transfers of shows from my TiVo to my PC, suddenly they are being cut short in the transfer. First a 1/2 hour of Weeds was only 9 minutes on my Tivo Desktop. Then a 2:15 of When the Levees Broke is 41 minutes. I have not upgraded to 2.3, still using 2.2. Just to be clear, the show on my TV is full length. It is only when I transfer it to my PC that it is being truncated. Does anyone have any advice?

First, do you have digital cable?
Next, when you watch the recording on your TiVo, is there any sort of pixelation or corruption in the signal at the point in time when the transfer is aborting (i.e., 9 minutes into Weeds)? There have been documented problems in the past with a glitch in the digital cable signal causing TTG transfers to abort like that.

I do have digital cable so I reviewed the recording to see if there was any corruption that could have caused the glitch. There doesn't seem to be and the facts now that I reviewed the tivo file both on my TV and desktop are even odder. For When the Levees brokes, while it shows that the duration is 2:15 (like it is supposed to be) on the Desktop, when I hit play, my Windows Media Player shows that the duration is 41 minutes 50 seconds. However, the beginning is correct, and the ending is correct, ie, the beginning shows the beginning of the show, the ending shows the ending complete with credits so it isn't truncated. Somehow, there are pieces missing from the middle. It would take a long examination to figure out what is missing. But this isn't a one time thing. The same exact thing happened to the second part of Levees. This is very weird. Again, I could use any advice I can get.

I've never seen portions of the middle missing. That's really strange ...
I just have analog cable, though, so I miss out on some of these "fun" issues.
