What kind of DVD?

I tried inserting a DVD-R 16X compatible (TDK brand) DVD into my Humax TiVo. Apparently it is the wrong kind of DVD to use.

Does anyone know what type of DVD I nee to use in this thing?

I have had success burning just about any DVD-R or DVD-RW that I tried in the unit. What are the symptoms that you are seeing?

The drive will burn up to 4x speed, and I've used media up to 8x without trouble. When they pushed DVD-R to 16x they had to tweak the spec which made for some compatibility problems with some media in some drives.
