TIVO suggestions WAY off base!

For some reason, the automatically recorded TIVO suggestions have recently strayed WAY off my personal interests. Hunting shows, fishing shows, adoption stories, etc.... Not to knock any of those topics, but they don't come even remotely close to my personal interests.

Questions:

(Yes, I know I can turn off TIVO suggestions, but in the past they have been more in line with my personal interests....but not recently!)

1. Can I re-align the suggestions with my interests? How?
2. Does TIVO keep track of shows I delete without watching? If so, these shows should not be recorded!

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Thumb down the ones you don't like. Then delete them.
Thumb up the ones you do.

My suggestions are about a 50% hit rate, but once in awhile there's a show we really enjoy that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. I have to admit that I really don't use the thumbs enough - as a result we get plastic surgery reality shows, I suspect due to our SPs for documentary series plus Grey's Anatomy.

Does anyone else watch your TiVo? Maybe THEY are watching those type programs.

No, I am the only one who uses my TIVO - hence my dismay at TIVOs suggestions!
