I have been trying to connect my Tivo Series 2 wirelessly to the internet. I currently have a Powerbook G4 laptop which is connected to broadband internet via my Airport Extreme. I bought a Linksys WUSB11 ver. 2.8 Wireless USB Adapter and have it connected to my Tivo.

It seems the Tivo is able to locate my Airport, but everytime I try to connect it says "TThe Tivo service is not answering. (N13)" Is this a porblem on Tivo's end? I am using my WEP password in the hexadecimal form. I tried entering a static IP address myself. I copied exactly what it said for my Airport Network under the Airport Admin. Assistant. I tired letting Tivo assign itself an IP address. I tried just letting the DHCP assign an IP address. Nothing seems to work.

Can someone please tell me step by step how to set this up? My phone line doesn't work with the Tivo either, so this is my last hope. Thank you so much for any help you can give me.

Is the Airport Extreme base station operating in 802.11b/g mode? The WUSB11 is an 802.11b adapter.

When you entered the WEP password in hexadecimal form, did you get the hex password from the Airport Admin Utility and then used the "password" item in the toolbar when the configuration is open?

When you entered the hex key, did you use the hexadecimal entry screen? If you didn't, make sure you enter the letters from A through F in uppercase.

Yes, the Airport base station is operating in the 802.11b/g mode.

Yes, I got the hexadecimal password from the "Password" tab in Airport Admin Utility.

I tried it again and made sure to enter the hexadecimal password with all the letters in caps, but no luck. Still got the same error: "Tivo service is not answering."

Is there something special I need to turn on/off on my router?
