Ok, here is the issue. One of my Tivo's will not detect any wireless networks. Let me tell you about the steps I and Tivo help have taken.

Verified router is working. One LAN computer, one wireless computer, and one wireless TIVO are all on the system and working fine.

Checked both usb adapters on working TIVO. Both usb adapters work fine.

When either usb adapter (netgear 111 and a tivo brand adapter) is plugged in to the malfunctioning the light on the adapter blinks in a slow rythmic pattern and never changes.

All of my other equipment detects multiple wireless networks in the area, the one TIVO detects nothing. I think that something in the TIVO is fried, but TIVO will not replace it until it is deemed as malfunctioning. Since the light does come on the adapters they claim it is not the TIVO. This unit seems to be the only common thing in this problem. Please advise!

I also recycled power multiple times, both with the adapter out and with the adapter in.

When the adapters are connected (either the Netgear or the TiVo one), does a MAC address show up on the Network Information screen? That would at least tell you if the TiVo is detecting the network hardware.

How far from your access point is the second TiVo? Is it possible there's no signal strength in that area?

I finally got it to work. The TIVO still shows no networks in range and zero signal strength, but I can transfer recordings and connect to TIVO for downloads. I manually entered the network name and passcode while the technicians were trying to figure it out and it worked. I still think the problem is with the box.
To answer your question, the box is 15 feet from the router and one shelf below the other TIVO which has 95 percent signal strength
