Upgrade size, but change default remove settings ?

I went sucessfully from 40hrs to 181hrs, but my tivo still wants to delete shows after a few days anyway, just like it wanted to when I barely had space..

I would expect that instead of a show hitting 'yellow' or yellow with ! in a couple days, it should hang around much longer ... there are no space constraints anymore, and i am not limiting the number of episodes to a particular number ...

anyone change this ?

You can set how long for the TiVo to keep any show from one day to "until I delete". Check the options menu when you record.

By "delete after a few days", do you mean the yellow exclamation balls? Those don't mean they are going to be deleted anytime soon. It means they are Eligible to be deleted if room is needed.

I have a 250G machine, and shows stay comfortably on the exclamation ball for months with nothing getting auto-deleted, because there's always room.

I've had several shows with the yellow exclaimation ball for at least 10 months without being deleted.

The oldest shows with the exclamation ball are deleted first, only when space is needed. If you delete stuff as you watch it, you can collect a lot of "expired" programs on your TiVo.

As i am finding out... my deleted folder is at 38 shows .. and my Tivo suggestions just topped 58 shows waiting for me.

Tivo likes to fill a void huh ?
