Hey everyone - question: I added a 160GB drive to my TiVo Series 2 540080 a while back, and I think the original 80GB drive crapped out on me (stuttering and constant rebooting). I would like to isolate and use only the 160GB in my TiVo - is that possible using mfstools? I played around with a few commands, but I keep getting an error basically because the two drive sizes don't match up...
TIA for any help!

You can if you are ok with losing your recordings, but I don't think you can do it without loosing them.

If you have a backup of your TiVo image, you can load that on the 160.
If you do not have a backup, you can try making a backup of the two drive set. Use the -s mfsbackup switch. This will backup the system and settings. Then just restore that backup on the 160. Since you are restoring to one of the original drives, you must create a backup file on a FAT32 drive.
See the following instructions for your model TiVo: http://tivo.upgrade-instructions.com/index.php
