Hi,
I just got a DRT400 and it seems fine except when I try to play a DVD the video signal periodically seems to drop (resulting in what I expect is the VCR's blue screen) and only the sound plays. It goes in and out like this as soon as the DVD begins playing but is resolved immediately when I return to the TiVo menus, and it did not happen when I burned a DVD.
It's connected via the red, yellow, and white connection. Any ideas why this is happening?
I should also add that I got this unit significantly cheaper as a floor model (through eBay, however) so I imagine it has some history. Is it possible some wires could just be loose or something? I'm thinking I'll open it up and see what's going on inside as I also think there was some trouble with the coax output.
I really have no interest in speaking with Humax about this unit as it was not a huge investment and I don't care to deal with any exchanging.
