Hi all. I'm getting a new HR10-250 next week (free from DirecTv) and I want to use it to stream audio and video from my PC. I've read some about Galleon and it seems superior to TiVo's own mp3 media player, however I still have some noob questions.
First off, will Galleon work on an HR10-250? If not, is there a way for me to access my audio/video from my PC on my TiVo? Could you point me to where I could find out more information about it? I'm really looking forward to getting rid of my old Media MVP which was fairly clunky and kept crashing all the time.
Another question is, will I be able to play AVI or movies from my PC or is there just not enough throughput for something like that? I would be running 100 mbps hardwired LAN.
What do I need to get for the HR10-250 to connect it to the LAN?. I'm figuring a USB network adapter, but I'm not sure.
