Have any HR10-250 0wners received 6.3 upgrade?

What's laughable is the 1200+ posts in the other thread with only about a dozen actually related to the update.

Give me a break. There will be threads like "I got 6.3 last night" if/when it actually happens. Not just threads that say "6.3 announced".

And yes, it is lazy. Do you really think it would be necesary to wade through 1200 posts to get the answer? The last page would be enough.

I also find it amazing that people will spend more time flaming someone for asking a simple question then to just answer it. Especially when it comes from a relatively new poster. <shrug>

This is what I have been told by a DTV Tech support Rep. There will be no 6.3 upgrade for the HR10-250.

it may not be on the "last" page... but the point is that they could easily find the answer in a matter of minutes if they took the time to look. dress it up how you like.... its lazy. so b/c someone has a low post count.... they're incapable of thinking for themselves and deserve to be spoon fed answers to questions that have been asked and answered 10 times over.?.. i don't think so.

i'm sure we'll just agree to disagree.... but newbie or not, i have no sympathy for people who want everyone else to do their research and/or work for them.

Yeah .. I cannot see why anyone would say threads with xx pages are not convoluted and everyone should know 6.3 will never be released ... Oh yeah baby, this is right on topic of what the poor bastard asked! I mean we all live here because like nitrogen we would all die without this site.

Now AS TO THE TOPIC: jksellman, nobody has it. If it is like everything else DirecTV has done in the last 8 years I have had them odds are they will not. But yes ... there will be Sunday Ticket and yet 2 more brand spanking new satellites that are broadcasting almost nothing, to almost nobody... Ruppert is a genius.

I hereby apologize for having a life and not wanting to wade through 9 billion pages to find once specific information that I want.Perhaps if the other members would be considerate enough to keep the threads to 1 billion pages OF RELEVANT MATERIAL ... so many of us would cease asking the stupid questions.

We know one thing, he is ruthless and makes bold moves, which could either be good or bad, depending upon if you are a customer or a competitor. What he apparently is not, as you have pointed out, is a talented visionary. If he were, DTV would not have painted itself into a corner that it will take another 2 or 3 years to get out of, which has put them behind the 8-ball for HD compared to cable and DISH. But then maybe that's unfair, seeing as how he has not had control of DTV for all that long.

Now Charlie Ergen? There's a true visionary. Maybe not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he knows how to look ahead and has done well in positioning DISH for HD, and in keeping prices down. Unfortunately, he has a blind spot the size of a Buick when it comes to PVRs, which is why he no longer gets to cash my checks.
