Could I beg a recording favour from a kind person ?

There's a TV program that has a segment about me (and team) on Discovery this Thursday. This is the last scheduled showing of it and so far each time I've tried to get a good digital-quality DVD copy of it suitable for archive/editing/re-encoding, I've been thwarted by combinations of; bad weather knackering the Sky signal, my Sky box/aerial flaking out, signal/video problems, forgotten/late/lost recordings by friends, etc. No-one I know locally has both Sky/NTL and TiVo/standalone-DVD-Recorder unit.

Would someone be willing to record it on Best Quality with some padding time and burn it onto DVD (or dump the TY stream onto DVD) for me, or record it straight off-air onto DVD. I'll be extremely greatful and happily cover postage+media costs+some beers.

Thanks,

What's the name of the programme, out of interest?

Having checked the Discovery listings on DigiGuide I'll make an educated guess that it's "Scrapheap Challenge" at 10am.

You were on scrapheap challenge!?

How cool? What were your team called?

I did say that was a guess. You'll have to wait for the OP to confirm :)

Nah, not SHC unfortunately :(

Its "My Horror Home" at 7pm on Thursday (Discovery Home and Health).

Carl was nearly right though, a strongman friend is supposed to be pulling some train carriages for an episode of Scrappy Races in which case I'll be helping out (logistically, not literally!)

I'll be happy to do it for you. I'll burn a Mode 0 recording onto DVD with 5 mins padding either end. PM me your address & full program details & I'll send it to you.
