why do HDNM(ch. 78) stuff recorded on DirecTivo seem to out of sync by half a second? For example, when someone is talking, his lips would be moving about half a second too fast...
this only affects HDNM, on both live and recorded material, recorded over the last 3 or 4 days.
All other HD channels are just fine... is this a technical glitch with HDNM or
my DirecTivo?
Thanks!

Technical glitch with the channel in question.
I've noticed it once or twice on both HBO-HD and SHO-HD, at different times.
I think I noticed it on UHD back when I had the HD package, but again, it was a one time deal, and wasn't on the other HD channels.

Call D* and let them know. They'll notify the broadcast engineers, and in most cases, find the problem pretty quickly. Generally they need to made aware of the problem first.

I have not noticed this, and I've seen a lot of HDNet movies lately. There are two places this can happen, in the feed itself, and in playback. If you see it, try pausing and unpausing (or do a jump back) to resync the PVR first. If it still does it, it's probably in the feed.

I've got this problem big time, it doesn't always happen but it almost always happens when I am playing back recorded HD programs from my Tivo. I never noticed this until I switched to HDMI. Actually I had programs on my Tivo that I used to watch with my Component cables and now that I switched to HDMI They are out of sync.
I do use the optical audio output pretty much full time so I wonder if that has to do with it too?
