Is $200 plus tax a good price for one of these? Not sure if it has any kind of warranty and I'm assuming it is 80 hour. Thanks!

The DVR-810H is 80-hour unless updated by a user. And I think $200 is a decent price. (Mine was >$700, but I got it just after it came out.) I really like it, definitely better than the Toshiba or Humax boxes.

Thanks. Is it fairly easy to upgrade the HDD? I'm a PC tech for a living and I've upgraded many HDD in PCs. Also does this unit support MRV? How about wireless USB net adapters? Supported? Which ones will work with TTG?

Yes, you can upgrade the HDD. It is a full Series2 so it supports MRV, TTG, etv. For Wireless access you really just want the TiVo branded 11g adapter - best performance and least hassle.

Just bought it. No blasters and no remote. Any idea where I can get these things? Pioneer website maybe? Thanks again for your help! :)

Looks like I can get a blaster at the TiVo website but not a remote that will control the DVD portion of the unit. Didn't see anything on the Pioneer site about a replacement remote. Will keep searching the web. Thanks for any help.

Just found the remote on the Pioneer web site. $47.09 plus shipping (ouch). Guess I should have demanded that the retail store that sold this open box unit to me search their back room for it! Oh well, still a good deal and I'm sure I'll love the unit (if it works - I'm still at work!) Thanks for the help.

If you haven't ordered already, check out Weaknees for the Humax dvd recorder remote here (http://www.weaknees.com/tivo-dvd-remote.php) . It works with the Pioneer and has a couple of enhancements over the included remote.

Thanks for the advice. However, I actually found someone who sold me the Pioneer remote for a good price.
