Again, Zayra has escaped! Unbelievable!!

It's dumbfounding.

I agree with sending them both home. Neither were right for the band and it was good just to cut them off now.

They had to do it eventually; the number of weeks didn't equal the number of singers. Now if only it was Zayra and Josh that went home, it'd be near perfect. Next week, dump Patrice and Zayra at the same time, and then we can get on with the business of listening to people who actually have a chance.

Zayra is a joke.

I love the way Storm put Jill in her place. Telling Jill she got "spanked" when she performed with Gilby, and admiting that she doesn't need to prove that she can perform with Gilby because she KNOWS she can. Storm's confidence is a big advantage she has over some of these other contestants. She should have told Jill "I'm letting others pick these songs with the Supernova members because its their only chance to sing with them...after I win this, they won't have another chance".

Why do they continue to go through the charade that the shows are at night? When they show the mansion footage with the sun shining bright, and Brooke does a voiceover saying "later on that night," it looks pretty silly.

Brooke is terrible...I think. There have only been a couple times that I've actually heard the words she's spoken. :D

Overall, I would say the production value of the show is pretty awful. Many segments feel forced, and the results show is terrible. Needs to be 30 minutes. The whole "hatchet-man" thing drives me batty.

So what, you would like it to be more like AI, where they sing the sucky song that got them thrown off AFTER being eliminated?

I love the way that this show is structured! You get one (or two) best performances from the night before. And usually, the bottom three do a decent job one the elimination night (other than Jill, last night), because THEY get to pick the song.

So even the eliminations show still has 4-5 decent acts!

So, I'm thinking the House Band doesn't really like Jill.

Where were the backing vocals on "Respect"? That song is all about layered backing vocals. Without someone in the background singing "just a little bit" and "ooh" over and over again, the song is completely different (and not good). Where were they?

Glad to see them knock out 2 this week. I was also surprised Zayra wasn't in the bottom 3.

I loved the 'Enjoy the Silence' performance. Can we get an encore of that?

Well, seeing Zayra butcher songs two nights in a row for the 1st weeks was a huge turnoff. I can't stand Jill, so seeing her a 2nd time for a few weeks in a row was also a pain.

But more to the point, I guess I should have been more clear. It's not the actual voting and performing "structure" that I don't like, it's the filler stuff. 4 performances takes 15 minutes (commercial time included) the night before, why not just do that with an extra 15 minutes of filler? We spend 30 minutes of the results show making random contestants stand up and down and it drives me crazy. Filler is to be expected, and AI definitely has plenty of it, but at least it's back stories of the contestants that COULD be deemed interesting.

I liked how Magni changed up his song for the encore. I actually like this version a little more than the other. I can't believe Zayra was safe from the bottom three. Has votefortheworst.com reared its ugly head again?

I've been a rabid viewer of Rockstar both seasons. I still have every episode of seasons one and two, I view them repeatedly, and would wager I've rewatched them as much as anyone else, anywhere.

This was the first time I ever heard the House Band sound terrible.
Whether they don't like Jill, didn't like her arrangement, or the planets just aligned terribly for those couple of moments I don't know.
But that song stunk up the whole joint.

That's the beauty of watching it delayed on a Tivo... I use the 30-second skip a lot on these types of shows.
