About a year ago right after 6.2 came out I upgraded my Hughes to a 300 gig drive from a 160 Gig drive. I took advantage of the > 137 Gig support.

Anyway (as posted in another message) my 300 gig drive started to fail and I will be working on moving the recordings on that to a new drive soon. But in the mean time I pulled out my old 160 gig drive and dropped it in the Dtivo.

It fired right up and all seemed to be OK. A few things I noticed was all of the guide info was "To be Announced" So I figured it just needed some time to get the data from the dish.

It told me I had not called Tivo direct in 465 days, so I forced a called and it was successful. The guide info is now correct.

Now everything seems to be working except, I can't search for programs to record or add to my season pass. When I do it only takes the first letter of the search and then locks up (Like it is looking in the index for shows and not finding any or just waiting for something. Only a reboot will bring it out.

Any Ideas?

Try clearing the program data and to-do-list via the restart or reset menu. This has helped me with several issues similar to what you're experiencing.

I was just getting ready to do that and I noticed the date says Aug 25 2006

Maybe I should do a guided setup??

I just forsed another phone call and the date is now correct, but the last service data download is over 1 year old. So I am guessing that until Tivo gets it's next service download my SP info will be screwed up

The service data is downloaded from the satellite overnight - it should be up to date tomorrow.

Yep. All service data was downloaded overnight and today all features are working again

Thanks!
