Just days after it was leaked on BitTorrent, Aaron Sorkin's latest TV creation now can be easily watched on YouTube. (Watch Part 1 here) Will NBC, which now has a relationship with YouTube, order the pilot taken down? Or did NBC have any connection with the leak? PLUS: "Friday Night Lights" leaked on BitTorrent. http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=4231949

Wow. They linked my post here on Tivo Community about "Friday Night Lights" being leaked on Bittorrent.

I'd head over there and watch it, but I'm fairly certain that would be breaking copyright law. :)

And you'd be wrong. :) The distribution is the infringing act, not the reception.

In any case, I don't think it's there anymore; I couldn't find it. Good thing I downloaded it via bittorrent 2 weeks ago. :D

I just rented it from netflix...much easier.

I'm starting to like the idea of pilots being leaked before their premire. It kinda takes the guess work out of which shows will actually be good and which ones will be duds. With everything usually premiring all in one week, with the networks releasing the pilots ahead of time, that gives me time to decide which ones I like for sure and which ones I might not. And with so many of them being on bit torrent anyway, I don't see why more can't be released via netflix or something like that. I think it's a great idea.

I agree that netflix would be great for pilots. If this became large scale perhaps pilots would not count towards the limit on Dvds, or have a NBC pilots DVD, where you can see 3-4 of the upcoming pilots.

I'm surprized anyone is watching all these "leaked" shows from a download. Aren't they pretty much all going to be in HiDef when aired?

Could it be the first manifestation of the agreement (http://news.com.com/NBC+strikes+deal+with+YouTube/2100-1025_3-6088617.html) between NBC & Youtube?

I just watched it and WOW. It might be the best pilot episode of a TV show I've ever seen.
The opening is brilliant and a fantastic homage to one of my favorite movies.

Absolutely thought the same thing. This is going to be very high on my season pass list.

I love HD, but it's not going to get me to watch a crap show. If I can watch a download and see that I'm not going to like a show, I'm not going to waste my time.

Well, shoot! I missed it and am still undecided so the pilot would have helped me decide in advance if I wanted to watch the season. Oh well, guess they should have left it up. ;0)
