Not sure if this is just a local thing or what, but I'm getting two repeat episodes a day for the Simpsons because of no guide data. Just started last week.

Dito for the overnight Conan reruns, though that's been happening off and on for ages. Wish the people doing the data would get it complete. And/or wish Tivo could be restricted to only look for (for example) Conan from say 6pm-1am or something so it would skip repeats overnight.

I regularly see episodes of the Simpsons show up in the guide data with no episode information. These tend to get recorded regardless of whatr episodes have been recorded recently since there is no program info to tell the Tivo that it's a repeat. I see this with numerous other shows as well, particulary shows made for cable channels like USA, FX, and TNT, among others. The initial episode will have a full description but repeats aired throughout the week have no information or episode title.

What I was getting for guide data for the Simpsons for the past week or so was it said "Marge and Homer raise Bart, Lisa and Baby Maggie." But now I am starting to get the actual descriptions so the problem is solved here on Cablevision in CT.

I've had this problem for ages--the syndicated reruns on our local fox affiliate were not coded as repeats, so got recorded constantly. I've ended up finding something else in that time slot, which I gave a higher priority.

I also had this problem, too. I ended up deleting the season pass for The Simpsons and just started a weekly manual recording of the 8-8:30 timeslot on Fox. It's just easier to do that and go back and delete unnecessary recordings from the spot (such as the every three month reairing of Independence Day).

I wish our local Fox station would get with it. The same problem was occuring for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart for the longest time, but now that problem seems to have been eliminated (I can only assume that Comedy Central started doing better with providing the episode information to TiVo).

The local station has been running the same 15-20 episodes of the Simpsons for quite a while. Even with proper guide data :(
