View Full Version : Anyone have problems with HUMAX customer service?
Has anyone had problems with returning a "dead" dvr box to HUMAX?? I have a model T2500 that sounded like it was eating itself and just finally frooze on the Powering up screen. Contacted Humax - did an advanced exchange, selected 2nd day shipping. Not only was the unit sent by regular ground, but the replacement refurbished unit within 1 hour of being hooked up had the same problem as the original. When I contaced HUMAX, I was told that is one in a million chance. Was also told they do not offer overnight shipping even though 1 week before I was offered that and they tried to tell me I had my tv and cable box plugged into the electric outlet wrong. Anyone else have issues with HUMAX???? :mad:
From what I've heard, I think the chances of having consecutive Humax duds are much greater than one in a million.
I would think that too! Apparently their Quality Control doesn't exist - being sent a broken unit is unbelievable. If I didn't have the lifetime service thru Tivo - after dealing with HUMAX I would be cancelling service and going with cable co dvr!
Maybe TiVo needs to have a word with Humax. I can only imagine Humax is a small company and their budget is limited but they still should not be giving out broken replacements (or having to give out replacements in the first place, for that matter). Not good for TiVo if their partners are causing their customers to be unhappy.
With only a few million TiVo boxes I wonder whether Humax has even manufactured a million boxes (rendering that statistic completely incorrect). ;)
