I don't suppose anyone with an unused Tivo modem cable (RJ11<->BT) and a continuity meter could map the cable out for me please ?

I've had a problem in the past with daily calls via the phone refusing to work and I wonder if I've somehow managed to use another modem cable with a different pinout to what the Tivo expects.

Google has been unhelpful on this :(

As far as I know it's a standard modem cable, so any such cable should work. You don't have an original Tivo modem cable, I assume?

I have two plus carriers bags of spaghetti :( In that lot I have over 10 modem cables, & I haven't a clue which two of them are out of a tivo

Standard modem cable should do it. Note NOT a cable salvaged from a phone which looks the same, but isn't quite the same (I learnt this the hard way).

Good luck in sorting through your spaghetti.

If your original modem lead is in there it should be easy to find. It's the one that's long enough to reach to the moon and back :)

Seriously though, I bleep tested my original Tivo lead and this is the pinout:

as viewed with the contacts facing you.
Hope this helps.
