I got the 7.3.1 software a few weeks ago which really slowed down my TiVo. (I don't use KidsZone) I noted from the TiVo Coffee House that this has been a problem for a lot of people; not just the combo units. Yesterday, I was watching TV and the TiVo froze. I unplugged it and rebooted and it was fine for about 30 seconds and froze again. I unplugged and rebooted again and it told me that I had no channels to tune to. It insisted that I do guided setup again.
I got into guided setup and did the first call fine via my wired broadband connection. When I got to the second callin via broadband, it won't go past Preparing. I let it sit at Preparing for about 2 hours. I unplugged and started at Zip Code in guided setup again. It got to the same 2nd callin and froze at Preparing. I let it sit at Preparing overnight and it didn't move further.
I tried to try one of the Panic Mode commands but the record lights never changed to yellow and I couldn't input the codes. Is there a different way to enter Panic Mode on the Pioneer units? (holding the remote Pause key didn't work) Is anybody else in this loop? I can't call Pioneer until I get home from work tonight. Thanks.
