This looks likes it's gonna be a fun, quirky show. It's an interesting premise... how people would start behaving with a significant event like an asteroid hitting the moon having just happened.

Y'know, for a summer season, there sure seems to be a lot of new shows to sample. Now I don't have enough time to watch the TV again!

Now I have to see if Fox Family is going to rebroadcast this show during the week.

You can download the pilot episode from iTunes for free. I'm going to check it out - hopefully it will stay interesting longer than Windfall did.

I seriously doubt a FOX channel would rebroadcast an ABC show. :)

Sorry, ABC Family, then.

:p to you, too, buddy!

And I've probably misspelled Vinnie's last name, too. :D

I was looking forward to this episode and was disappointed. I would have like it to start off with the moons splitting and the kaos that ensued. They skipped this part and only covered it in a 30 second opening shot. It sounded like it had happened a while ago and people were getting used to it. I think having a show covering the initial impact and how people get to the place the show started at would have more interesting.

Yeah, but the interesting thing about the premise the way it is is that nobody knows when or if the big fragments are going to hit and wipe out life on Earth. So you'll have some people living each moment as if it's their last, some people determined to go about life as usual, neither "side" is demonstrably right or wrong, and it's sustainable for a fairly long time (eventually, they'd figure out the oribital mechanics of the major fragments and then they'd know for sure, but even if the big three chunks are in as stable an orbit as it appears, there are still plenty of little chunks, any of which could be much bigger than the meteor that took out the dinosaurs).

The initial impact would have been kind of boring, since it would have had no physical affect on the Earth.

They can do the initial impact story lines in flashback when they run out of ideas. I'm guessing that'll be soon.

It was OK and got better towards the second half of the episode. I always give a show more than one episode because the pilot has to cover too much ground.

ABC Fam is re-running it tomorrow and SOAPnet is running it on the 11th.

Could they not have cast a more appealing actress as the daughter? She has a lot of face, and where the face should end, there's just more face. I haven't been watching Kyle XY so I don't know if this is the level of programming found on ABC Family, but this show just wasn't very good.

The initial impact would have been kind of boring, since it would have had no physical affect on the Earth.

I'm fairly certain that the oceans tides would be severely impacted.

No, the tides are the result of the Moon's gravity. The Moon's gravity is the result of its mass. And the Moon is still all there, just in pieces. The change in tides would be gradual as the pieces of the moon drifted apart. As of the time the show begins, there probably would not be a noticable effect yet (since most of the Moon is clearly still in place).

I found that replay on ABC Fam and set TiVo up for it.

Quite an interesting summer season: "Kyle XY", "Angela's Eyes", "Entourage", "The Closer", "Eureka" and "Psych" have all gotten SPs. "Monk", "Stargate SG1" and "Stargate Atlantis" already had them.

This makes up for "The Dead Zone," which is pretty much unwatchable now, and "The 4400", which is on the verge (although it now seems to be heading somewhere).

The only new show I haven't sampled is "Saved" and "Three Moons Over Milford," and Milford gets its shot tomorrow.

I gave Milford its shot... not interested in continuing. The only thing worth seeing was the house.

I finally watched this and found it thoroughly enjoyable. I like the characters a lot, enough so that I think this show will be my new "Everwood".

I was also happy to see Nora Dunn again.

...which is the best new show of the summer. Try it!

I was also happy to see Nora Dunn again.I was surprised by how pretty she looked. I always thought she was kind of plain looking. She looks better now than she did 10 years ago.

It's got the quirky characters & old smallish town setting just to name a few things. I just hope the writing picks up a bit...gets snappier and a bit faster between everyone. Maybe I'm asking toooo much, want it to be the new GG, or am just having GG withdrawal with a tinge of denial that the GG series ending is on the horizon since ASP & DP are gone. A new GG would be nice tho and 3 moons has the chance to be it....

ASP = Amy Sherman-Palladino. DP = Daniel Palladino. They are the creators of Gilmore Girls and were the guiding force until this coming season, when they couldn't come to terms with the studio.

Amy has said since the first season that she had already written the last four words that Rory will say to Lorelei at the end of the series. Unfortunately, we're not going to know what they are, since she's not writing the scripts anymore. :(

Removing the Palladinos from the show is akin to removing Aaron Sorkin from The West Wing. The beginning of the end.

I'm still watching Three Moons, because I'm besotted with Elizabeth McGovern, who at age 45 has become just absolutely stunning. She's right up there with Diane Lane (41) and Lauren Graham (39) on my short list.

Unfortunately, I don't subscribe to Showtime. :(
