I need someone with a TiVo-based DVD recorder from either Toshiba or Humax to check whether the included remote control accepts TV code 0305. (If it does, the light will blink.)

This is the code for my new television monitor. The Series1 and standalone Series2 remote controls do not accept this code. The second-generation DirecTV TiVo remote control does, but my family hates the button layout. If the Toshiba/Humax remote control accepts the code, I'll buy one from WeaKnees.com.

Thank you!

I am pretty sure this is the code I am using for both my Humax and S2-240 units to control my Samsung TVs. The S2-240 is on a new DLP, the Humax is on a 4:3 CRT HDTV monitor. The only glitch is that the S2 remote will only change the volume in single steps - holding down the Vol +/- will only change 1 step so it take multiple presses to adjust the volume any appreciable amount. The Humax remote behaves as expected - holding down the Vol +/- key continuously adjust the volume.

My new television monitor is a Samsung DLP, and the volume control glitch is precisely the relevant issue. Your Series2 remote control actually is using a different code from the Samsung list (most likely 0092), which requires the multiple button presses. The second-generation DirecTV TiVo remote control behaves identically when code 0092 is entered, but it also accepts code 0305 (which the Series1 and Series2 remote controls fail to recognize), and that's the one that solves the problem.

You've confirmed for me that the Humax (and presumably Toshiba) TiVo/DVD recorder remote control recognizes code 0305. It also has the TV power button in the traditional location and the combined Live TV/Guide button that my family prefers.

Thanks again! :)
