I have an old Toshiba television..it has only one cable in connection in the back....no video, audio, S-Video or anything else. I tried to hook it up to our HR-250 and got nothing. I took the tv into my daughter's bedroom and hooked it up to her regular R-10 DVR and it worked fine. Any suggestions? Thanks...

You need a RF modulator, it takes composite(RCA) and changes it to RF( F-connector). You get them from RS or walmart.

HR10-250 doesn't have a "coax" output like the previous DirecTiVo's.
I'd say this would be a good time to upgrade to an HDTV, then you can really enjoy the HR10-250.

Until you get a new TV, you could use your BetaMax VCR as one. :D

And be sure to change the resolution to 480i.

I keep my old Muntz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madman_Muntz) TV because it can receive the old 50's and 60's TV shows better than modern TVs - those shows were built for those kind of TV sets.
