Ir Channel Changing With Motorola Dct2224

I Have A Panasonic Dvr810h And Get My Cable Through Rcn. They Recently Gave Me A New Cable Box Motorola Dct2224. I Formerly Had A Different Motorola Box And The Ir Channel Changer Worked Well, With Occasional Glitches. When I Got The New Box The Ir Channel Changer Worked Very Well For The First Two Days, But Since Then Has Completely Stopped Working. After Hours On Teh Phone With Rcn, They Insist The Problem Is With The Tivo, & That I Must Change The Tivo Setup. All Changes I Have Attempted Have Not Helped--any Suggestions Would Be Greatly Appreciated.
