From the IFC description: Comedienne Laura Kightlinger (Will & Grace, Lucky Louie) is the creator and star of this 8-part, live-action comedy series about two best friends maneuvering through the not-so-glamorous side of Hollywood. Kightlinger also serves as executive producer in conjunction with the team that produced the critically acclaimed IFC series, "Hopeless Pictures."

Jackie Woodman is Entourage-like and the first episode was very funny. The Business is a sequel to The Festival. Again, the first episode was extremely funny.

I saw "The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman" and have to say that while it did have a few amusing moments, I didn't think much of it generally,

I'd have to agree that "Minor Accomplishments" is somewhat of a dud - for me, at least, but "The Business" (http://www.ifctv.com/ifc/what?CAT1=7127&AID=17213&CLR=black) is great. If any IFC watchers remember last year's "The Festival" then they should get a kick out of "The Business"

And who could forget "MUFF" - the Mountain United Film Festival which was the location for "The Festival"

A good description of "The Business" from IFC:

The team that created IFC’s comedy series “The Festival”, takes us on another misadventure in indie film-land with their new IFC series, “The Business” . We first met Vic Morgenstein (Rob Deleeuw, “My Five Wives”) at the Mountain United Film Festival (MUFF) where he picked up Rufus Marquez’s (Nicolas Wright) award winning film “The Unreasonable Truth of Butterflies”. Vic, infamous for his soft-core smut DVDs, is now trying to make a reputable name for himself in the indie film industry.

I'd have to agree that "Minor Accomplishments" is somewhat of a dud - for me, at least, but "The Business" is great. I felt the opposite way. Well, I wouldn't call Minor Accomplishments "great", but I enjoyed it a lot more than The Business...

I just caught my first episode of MA last night and liked it to some degree. I had not heard of it utnil a promo which mentioned Entourage like 34093 times. And i love Entourage so I gave it a whirl.

It was cute and had some funny moments but not sure if its top notch or as good as some of the other choices out there.
