I've seen the promos for this on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network.....it looks..........interesting..... :p

Just starting a thread in case anyone wants to comment. Also the premiere episode seems to be available on Adult Swim Fix now:

I have no idea what to expect, except weirdness....and am I mistaken or does one of those cartoon characters look like Jack Black.... :confused:

I TiVo'd this but it was too late last night to watch it. I will check it out tonight. I think it looks great. Mullets (the show) + Squidbillies + Danzig

I enjoy the bizarre Adult Swim stuff as much as the next guy, but my feeling on this was mostly a shrug. It had its moments, I guess.

I don't know if it was
a) me
b) the A/C on in the background, or
c) part of the joke

but I couldn't understand 1/3 of the dialogue. I know the "Metal" yelling is part of it, but even in conversations I missed what some characters were saying.

The teaser scripts for future episodes sound like they might be worthwhile, at least.

11 minute episodes suck. Just as I was getting into it the episode was over. I might have to save up 2 or 3 to watch at a time.

When I got home I noticed this was listed in the guide as being on last night. So I added it to my list to record. I then went out. ANd when I got back and played it, it was PeeWees PLayhouse.

Bleh.

I guess it was a guide error but it sure got my hopes up.

Yeah, twice it has appeared with no detailed guide info, and got recorded, but it was Pee Wee's Playhouse, instead.

When it was first aired Sunday night, it started early, so my TiVo cut off the opening scene; same thing happened to my TiVo recording of Venture Brothers. Adult Swim really needs to stick to their announced schedule and not start shows a few minutes early like this.

On the whole I liked it. The heavy metal coffee jingle was humorous. Some of the dialogue was hard to decipher, but played better on second viewing. I think this show has potential; I will keep the Season Pass for now and give it a chance. It does seem like the kind of show that would be better in the half hour format, though, like Venture Brothers, instead of the 15 minute format that works better for the cheaply produced absurdist humor more common on Adult Swim.

Oh and of course the show has nothing to do with Jack Black; the Murder Face character just looks a bit like Jack Black but does not sound at all like him. I was just wondering out loud since Jack Black has done some rock music based humor in the past.

I believe mines going to record sometime in the next day or two. Everytime it does so in the living room its always peewee.

I'm thinking I'm going to start recording the shows on Adult Swim that are before and after Death Clock, and before and after Venture Brothers and whatever else I am TiVoing on Adult Swim on Sunday nights. Adult Swim used to start on time, at least on Sunday nights when new episodes premiered, but I guess I can't trust them anymore.

BTW, if the Adult Swim bumps are accurate, they give the plotlines of some future Death Clock episodes which sound potentially pretty funny.

FINALLY mine recorded an episode... 'dethwater'.

that is the heaviest music ive heard in a cartoon ever. i thought the whole thing was pretty good all over. silly animation, seriously heavy music, all good to me.

i want more.

I was able to also find the show elsewhere but its obviously not the release version... the title sequence is missing and there are bits missing from the animation.

i see no more in the program guide... anyne know when more will air?
