TiVo pauses on its own

My TiVo (80 hr, SA, Series 2) recently started pausing on its own when playing a recorded show (happens a couple of times a day). I haven't noticed it doing it during live TV. Rebooting didn't fix it. Also, although very rarely, when I'm fast forwarding sometimes it skips big chunks of time - 10-15 minutes. I also had one recording that failed to play past a certain point. I was able to jump to the end and rewind right after the problem and it played fine after that.

Anyone else having similar problems?

Maybe my HDD is going bad, maybe it's a buggy software update?

I just got a letter from the cable company saying that starting the beginning of August the service provider has changed from Adelphia to Time Warner Cable. Can that explain the problems I've been having? Maybe they are using different equipment and the new signal is weaker or just different (the cable box hasn't changed though)...

I have some recordings from July and I can try to find if there's any correlation.

Any other Time Warner Cable customers here?

The change of corporate ownership should not affect your signal.
