I've seen some ads on the net for " Snakes on a plane". Can anybody tell me if this is a real movie? As unbelievable as this sounds, firewall at work blocks google but allows TCF so I can't search for myself. Thank you!!! I mean, just visualize Sam jackson in your mind screaming " We've got Snakes!!!!!'

Its real - its Blair Witchish as far as the unconventional way it is being advertised, and I have no intention of seeing it for 10 bucks in the theater--as much as I like SLJ

Yep, it's a real movie. I've also heard it compared to Alien. But it is pretty much what it says...a movie about snakes on a plane. But they're like BIG snakes...and you're on a plane so you don't have anywhere to run.
It's enough to scare the crap out of me...I'd turn into the William Shatner of the plane and go to extreme measures to get myself off that plane!

A few weeks ago Entertainment Weekly had a great article about the movie. They interviewed Samuel L. Jackson about it and went into detail about... well, nothing. There's huge buzz about this movie and nobody knows anything except two things: there are snakes on a plane, and Samuel L. Jackson's in it.
People joked around on the Internet so much that one line in particular said by Jackson in the movie actually came from the online community: "I'm tired of these mother****ing snakes on this mother****ing plane!"
There's all sorts of rumors around it, like how Sam just took the movie because of the name. That one's not quite true, but at one point they were going to change its name to something like Flight 451 or something, but Sam said uh-uh, people want to know what they're seeing. Then there's the rating, they were pushing for PG-13, and Sam tried to get them to go R but they wouldn't budge... so they finished the movie, tested it, and it wasn't strong enough, so then they came back and made it R.
Anyway that's about it. I'm looking forward to it, but know what I'm into from it. My favorite scene from an early trailer had Samuel L. Jackson swinging a snake by its tail, smacking it up against a seat. I mean, you gotta love that.

There must be some under the table money changing hands because EW has been pimping this thing for months. Other than a catchy title it's probably crap.
This thread is cracking me up for some reason. Must be the plane snakes. :D
OP -- Your office blocks google!? That is crazy. Why do they bother letting you use the internet at all? I can't think of one desk job where google wouldn't sometimes be a useful and appropriate tool. Where do you work?!

That there's a movie is at this point almost unnecessary; it's an out-of-control meme that's been devouring the Internet, rendering perfectly viable threads into drippy puddles of drool everywhere it goes.
I'm tired of these mother****ing memes on this mother****ing Internet.
