Time Warner Apologizes For Series 3 TiVo Misinformation

:up: Pretty cool! TWC Raleigh, NC has apologized for initially saying that they would not support installing a CableCARD into the upcoming Series 3 TiVo. This makes me have a little more respect for TWC.

I'm one of the folks that got the call. I have no more respect for them then I did yesterday. I would have more respect for them if they didn't continue to do crap like this to themselves. They didn't have to have a CSR script that said TWC would only put cablecards in TVs. They didn't have to have mid-management so poorly trained that they don't know what a cablecard is or the FCC regulations around it.

The fact that it took a big public stink to force TWC to admit they have to obey the law actually makes me have less respect for them then I did before.

Glad to hear that Cable Card support for Series 3 is no longer an issue! If only Cable Card 1.0 itself wasn't so limiting in what it will allow Series 3 to access.
