Hi,
Slightly random question perhaps.. I'd like to get a network card for my TiVo and I notice there are some CacheCards on ebay that look quite reasonable. My question is this: If I buy a CacheCard, do I have to put memory in it or can I just use it as a network card and consider adding the memory at a later date?
Thanks for you help,
Dave

You don't have to put memory in it and will work just fine as a network card.
However, even if you only have 32MB stuck in there, you will notice a difference.

Good to know, thanks Terry.
If you do get one, and don't intend to put any memory in it, I'll swap you for a Turbonet.
I'd love a Cachecard, but it's difficult to justify since I already have 2 Turbonets in my 2 main TiVos.

I have got one on the way and have found some 64MB ram to go in it, which will do until I can afford to buy a bigger module. Thanks for the offer though :)

Have to say in back-to-back testing this last couple of weeks, the TiVo with 512Mb doesn't actually run that much smoother day-to-day than the one with 128Mb.

Interesting...
Maybe I'll see if I can get my hands on a 128Mb stick then. I think ebay is the place since SDRAM seems to have shot up in price recently.
