Hello :)

I was just wondering what happens after you submit for a program to record via TiVo central online.

It warns about programs not scheduling if it's within an hour and says the TiVo needs to "connect to the service" to get the info - but when I think of that I think of the nightly connection.

Do their servers trigger a connection? And if that's the case why does it need an hour? Has anyone gotten something to schedule with less than an hour? I'm trying it out now and so far have only found out that 5 minutes is not long enough. ;)

The online scheduling is different then the daily call.

It checks every 15 minutes, I believe, for online scheduled recordings.

There is no log of this in the system info screen, that I'm aware of.

I have scheduled a recording 10 minutes prior to it airing, and my TiVo got it,
it just depends on when the "every 15 minutes" falls.

I just wish the DirecTiVo's had this function.

The bottom of the System Info screen list VCM connection times
(last attempted, last connected, next attempt).
