I have an antique Series 1 DirecTivo Sony T-60 that is hacked using InstiCake with a 200GB drive. For several years it has worked with no problem. Then I received a green screen a few months back. Figured it was a bad hard drive, so I went and bought a new one. Formatted using InstiCake and it worked for about 4 weeks and then received another green screen. Rebuild again and it worked for about 2-3 weeks and then a green screen again. Each time it would start acting strange (receive an error when trying to play a recording, hit List and I could see the recordings and still watch TV in the background, etc).
Anyone have any ideas??
