View Full Version : SD-DVR80 Random Reboots
I installed a new hard drive to fix stuttering problems (successfully) but random reboots continue (about once per week). Temp is normal, it's on a UPS and I reseated the access card when I installed the HD. I had reboots more often with the old drive; the random reboots became more frequent and then the stuttering began and also got worse. Any ideas? Are they possibly triggered by DTV? Thanks.

Did you apply any modifications to the software while you had it out?

DTV has no clue you changed hard drives. Sounds to me like the first drive was damaged enough that the copy was corrupted that you put on the new drive. You should try reimaging the drive with a clean image.
Sorry, I should have been more clear. The new drive was from Weaknees so the software is AOK.

Sounds like either a power supply problem or something on the motherboard is going out.
Do you have the unit plugged into a UPS to protect it from power brownouts and spikes?
