Sending Tivo Files

Any ideas on how I can send a Tivo file from my computer to someone else's? I recorded my friend on television and he wants to see it. Its 1.58 GB so I cant send as an attachment. Would it work through MSN or AOL IM Send File option? HOw hard is it to burn to a disk?

Sending .tivo files outside of your own network is a violation of TiVo's Terms of Service contract and a copyright violation.


However, a very cool piece of software that lets you send big files, regardless of what they are is:

I would advice converting it to mp4 (ipod or psp) format if you plan to do this since your friend wouldn't be able to view the tivo file any way. mp4 format is a lot smaller (a few hundred megs at most).

Direct show dump to convert to mpg, then convert it to Xvid or Divx to reduce file size.

Pando Beta currently limits file size to 1 GB.

Is he on screen the entire video file? You could edit it down in size if he's not. Then sign up for a free website or someting to upload it to and let him download it.
