Based on another poster's question, there have been times I turned on the TV right before or after a show change and wanted to grab the previous 1/2 hour program (happens a lot on HGTV). IOW, I want to store whatever is in the 30 minute buffer. You can't always hit the record button b/c if the guide has changed, it'll record the next show and you'll lose the buffer.
Something like a shortcut series of commands (enter-thumb-thumb) or something you can do with a series of buttons - and all it does it grab and store the 30 minute buffer - regardless of what's in it.
