I have had my TiVos for a few years now and can't remember what it was like to watch live TV. I just recently connected a digital cable box and am having a problem recording Video on Demand. I set the channel to 999 (charter Cable's VOD channel) and then use my cable remote to select the video I want to watch. When the program starts and I press the Tivos record button, it comes up with the info screen showing the On Demand Session being a 4 hour session. If I am at the end of that 4 hours, I miss the end of the program. If I am at the beginning of the 4 hour session, I am recording several hours of my cable boxes On Demand Screen after the program is over. so I have two questions.

1. How can I tell TiVo to ignore the guide's info and "START RECORDING NOW AND RECORD FOR 70 MINUTES"? and

2. Is there a way to edit the title and other info of a recording so I can see what I recorded instead of just seeing "ON DEMAND" in Now Playing?

Thanks!

Try a manual recording by time and channel.

I have tryed that, but it won't let me set the stop time. It always uses the info from the program guide (which always show a four hour program for on demand.
