Publish Videos to TiVo?

Is there any way to publish a video I received in an email (for example, a wmv file) to the TiVo desktop so that I can watch it on my TV? Music and Photos seem to be the only option.

You need to convert it to a TiVo compliant MPEG2 first, then you publish it with TiVo Desktop 2.2 or higher.

I found a bunch of utilities for converting videos from one format to the other. Anyone have a reccomendation or favorite?

Also, I'm still not clear on how to "publish" the video to the desktop. It seems to only use picture or sound files.

Been poking around in Nero, and can't figure out how to convert, for example, a wmv file to MPEG. Has anyone done this yet?
