So...

I moved across town. And the DirecTV Mover's connection would cover me, but I'm planning (hoping, that is... applied for a transfer) on moving again the next couple of months. So, instead of paying for one of the installs, I did it myself, using pretty much the prexisting wiring in my buddy's house. Unfortunately, there's only one coax line run to the room.

I've read about diplexers and OTA, and I've heard about something called a DiSEqC Switch, but is there any way for my one coax run to carry two different sat feeds?

Not really answering your question about diplexers and OTA, but D* will let you do one more mover's connection within a year after the first move.

Of course D* CSR's don't know what they are saying usually. The one I talked to yesterday confirmed what I had read in these forums, that it was specifically two moves in one year, no limitation of once per six months.

They are quite stupid for limiting it at all since it gives them a lot easier shot on capturing a new sub with whomever lives in your old place since the dish and wires are already there.

None that you listed will work but a stacker will. A quick search here and will give you details and prices for both a reqular and a smart stacker. Be sure to pay attention to their limitations.

Balls. I mean, DERN... Those options are much more expensive than a new installation...

Though, I wish I had researched here more before moving. Oh well. I've got one line run now, and the OTA still can record two at once, so, its not the end of the world, especially considering its only for a couple of months, hopefully.

If you only have one active sat tuner, then you can only record one OTA tuner.

Yeah, I realized that the hard way. So, my workaround was to tell the TiVo that it had two Sat feeds.

Today, I realized that I am an idiot, and have a way to wire it very easily.
