Recording CD-USA with HR-250

Hi there, I have a weird situation when trying to record HD CD-USA with my new HR-250. It shows as having recorded an hour but actually only records a few seconds. This has happened each of the last 3 weeks. I set a manual recording and it worked fine + it works fine on my SD recorder.

I searched and noticed a thread about the same thing happening with American Idol Extra but no resolution.

Any ideas ?
