Ari's line about getting Drama a job, any job, even if.... now that was totally funny.

Unfortunately things didn't go too well for the gang by the end of the episode :( E. had the right words... they are F---ed.

Ari was great. 'For you Lloyd, yen!' Hilarious stuff.

They are certainly f'd. WB is going to make things very difficult for Vince although I'm sure things will get smoothed out in an episode or two.

Classic Ari, the shot of him walking into the conference room ready to explode was priceless, not to mention when he picked up his monitor and was ready to throw it through the window.

It will be interesting to see how it ends up for Vince. Did anyone catch the name of the actor Ari said would be playing Escobar?

He said 'Benicio' [Del Toro].

As already mentioned, awesome episode!

Great bits for Ari, Drama and Lloyd. Even Vince got a chance to shine. Though I don't like the storyline that they're going with, it was great to see Sloan again too. (She's just so yummy!)

"Don't f--k with the boys from PS 154!"

(Ha, I went to PS 154! It's too odd to see my rather nondescript part of Queens - and it's elementary school - get referenced on this show!)

It should be interesting where we go from here. Looks like Ari's agency is picking up a little bit.

Well since Vince's two movie roles have been filled it looks like they are back to the drawing board. I still can't believe Vince passed on 12.5 millon dollars. That would have been a great payday for Ari and E as well.

I wonder if they are going to have Lloyd be Drama's agent? It seemed like that is what they were setting up.

It sure does seem like it, and I welcome that development. Both Rex Lee and K. Dillon are superb in their roles.

I love when Turtle said it must be big because Ari brought his muscle.

Lloyd rocks! If I was 10 years younger and liked C....Oh you know where I'm going with that..lol (that's still one of my favorite Ari lines of all time)

There was another awesome line in this EP that I was going to remember, but the whole EP was so good I can't remember it now. They have really found a way to keep me fiending for Sunday. I can't wait till the next EP. They better give us some clue where things are headed and not just give us a filler EP.

well yes and no. He was lied to and feels very strongly about his principles and won't compromise them. That you have to admire, which is a bit frustrating as well.

But seeing the previews, I guess E has other ideas too.

I agree that it was a great episode.

What I don't understand is why Vince didn't take the breakfast......if for no reason than to tell the Warner Brother's jerk that he has no respect for him for lying to his face, and that he will never work with him again once his contract is fulfilled. He basically did the same thing by not showing up, but didn't have the satisfaction of telling the guy off. The WB guy might have had more respect for Vince if he stood up to him and looked him in the eye.

He also could have seen if it was possible to work it out...

Think of the timeline.....

He starts work on the Pablo movie....gets 1/2 way done, then stops filming.
He then does A2 through completion
While A2 is getting edited and marketed, he finishes filming the Pablo movie
A2 is out in the theaters, finished in the theaters, and already to DVD before the Pablo movie hits the theaters

His doing the Pablo movie will not hurt A2 at all.....of course it would be an issue if A3 is part of his contract.....but then he could have offered to do A3 for free if he is permitted to do the Pablo movie.

I think by snubbing the guy, he hurt all chances of working a deal.

I also think that Ari was lying to Vince about him being out of the Pablo movie....he just wanted Vince to make nicie nice with the WB jerk.

E in a 3some with Sloan...NICE.....but the blonde seemed a bit snooty to him in the morning....I was thinking that all she wanted was Sloan and that this was a way to get her.

That's why threesomes are great in THEORY, at least most of the time. In reality, it's very easy for a person to get their feelings hurt or get turned off to the idea - in this case, after it was already too late.

The problem is, Warner's wasn't going to let him do the Pablo movie under ANY circumstances.

Not only does Lloyd become Drama's agent, but Lloyd and Drama out-perform Ari and Vince. At least in the very short term. That's my bet.

In the grander scheme of things, I recon the WB exec couldn't lose 'hand' and let the word get out that he let one of his stars walk all over him without consequences. He probably already knew things weren't going to work out (considering how fast they got Gyllenhaal for the sequel), he just needed the right excuse to boot him.

This show is getting so good, I almost want to skip watching it, so i can watch two episodes in a row the next week. It's so short.

Does anybody else have a feeling that the Jake Gyllenhaal for AQ2 is a bluff by WB, and also a nod to Spider Man by the creators.

Sony did the same thing before Spidey 2 with Jake G rumored to be replacing Toby.

They can be great, as long as no two people in the group have a serious relationship. Having a couple + a third party is going to be more difficult than having three equals. Looks like that was the case for E too; the blonde didn't look too kindly at him when they woke up. Whoops!

I am happy to see that my prediction about Lloyd becoming an agent looks to be coming around.

I really want to see Vince play Pablo Escobar!! Not that we'd really get to see much of it, but still. I like that plot! Oh, and whoever recommended reading Killing Pablo -- thanks, it's on its way from Amazon! I have got to stop watching so much TV and read a frickin' book!

While I certainly wouldn't pass up a three way with Sloan and friend, I don't see this helping their relationship. Threesomes rarely help a relationship. Not that I'm an expert or anything.

The problem is that that Ari told Vince they already got Benicio Del Toro for Medellin before Ari even told him about the breakfast. Medellin was done. There was no negotiation happening.

Wow this episode was an all time classic might of been the best episode of the whole series. Ari was on fire he had me laughing the entire episode. I can relate when he went to throw the monitor lol. What is there to say about E besides he is the luckiest bastard ever. I hope drama gets the piliot and they even get the show on the air for a few episodes. I am for the first time really liking vince I like how he is sticking to his guns. There were so many great one liners this episode I can not begin to quote them. I did loved it when turtle said I am so beating off to your girlfriend tonight.

Yeah, I also saw it as a nod to Spider-Man 2.

(For what it's worth, though the producers involved with Spidey 2 deny it, the Jake Gyllenhaal thing was very real: Variety detailed it (http://www.variety.com/index.asp?layout=story&articleid=VR1117884592&categoryid=13&cs=1) and Jake himself has gone on record saying that he was contacted (http://jam.canoe.ca/Movies/Artists/G/Gyllenhaal_Jake/2004/05/23/758786.html) by Sony to step-in for Tobey.)

From memory, without looking at the article, I think Sony did it on the surface because Toby got hurt on Seabiscuit, and supposedly might not have been able to do Spidey 2. That might have been a cover story from Sony, because I think Toby was also asking for a hunk o more change.

While I think the Benicio doing Pablo E is probably true, i have my doubts about the AQ2 thing and JG.

I don't think big studio heads get where they are by risking 10's of millions, maybe 100's of millions of dollars by making changes based on their hurt feelings.

He's got bosses of his own.

Word on the street was, McGuire was demanding more money, and suggested that his back might cause problems. Sony then hired Gyllenhaal. Suddenly, McGuire's back was all better and he didn't need more than $17 million after all.

Without passing judgment personally, wouldn't WB be just as concerned about the guy from Brokeback Mountain doing A2 as the guy from Medellin doing A2? Either moviegoers can separate actors' characters from one movie to the next or they can't.

The studio probably has right of first refusal. Meaning if they want Vince, he has to do it, but if they want someone else, it's their prerogative (with a small payout clause for Vince). Just a guess.

One of my favorite parts of this episode was after a ticked off Vince tells Ari to just take the original $7 million so he doesn't owe the studio any favors, Ari tells the studio exec that, paraphrasing: "Vince feels so bad about all this that he wants to just do the movie for just $10 million."

WB is going to make things very difficult for Vince although I'm sure things will get smoothed out in an episode or two.

I don't think so. Shows like to have characters go through cycles of good times and bad times. But they don't want the show to be a downer so while one character is breaking up, another is falling in love. There is always at least one good storyline to be excited about. So between this and Turtle's music career and Drama's getting an agent, I figure they'll let Vince's fortunes fall for a bit. Then they can do all sorts of things, like reverse the money situation and have Vince mooch off Turtle. It'll give a chance to show Vince when the world isn't going his way, and allow them to develop Turtle and Drama a little bit more.

I loved when Drama threw it back in Ari's face "Sorry, I had him and then I lost him"

The 3some thing is a nice fantasy, but there is no way in hell a chick that hot would want E so badly.

My favorite moment was when Turtle said to Ari, "I guess the kid's got principals" and then offered him a hit off the joint.

On a side note, can you really create such a good custom character in The Godfather game? That really did look like Drama!
