Edited to add: this was a special (non-fiction) lead-in (OAD 7/14) to the two new Stargate premieres later that evening.

Note to rhuntington3: you really, really don't want to watch this show. We're 12 minutes in and there has been one ewwwwwwww moment after another. :p

Jan (hoping they'll leave off talking about parasites soon and move on to physics and wormholes)

Was this a new show or a repeat from a previous season?

What a yawner. Yeah, tapeworms are like Goa'uld.
Lots of fast forwarding to look for something interesting. Didn't find anything.

I liked the bit about the guy who had the microchip installed in his body (was it in the central nervous system?) and is planning on having one implanted in his brain...

Will someone give an indication of which episode this is referencing?

This one? http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=307645

It's not an episode of Stargate. It's a documentary that looks at real-world science and how it relates to SG-1

My TiVo needs a new rule to add to:

Keep until <date>
Keep until space needed
Keep until delete

This show called for:
Delete before I watch.

I started watching this and after 5 minutes turned it off. After reading this thread, it sounds like I should just delete it!

Too late. Your TiVo is already dumber.

eh. It was amusing but nothing really worth watching.

It was kinda like a demo tape for a knock-off of Scientific American Frontiers with Amanda Tapping hosting instead of Alan Alda.

Not a bad idea, theortically ;) but it just didn't come off.
