We went back to DSS after having a terrible year using the [much cheaper] Charter cable service. We're having trouble setting up the TiVo though, and the satellite signal started dropping out in the middle of it, so I aborted and plan to go back to troubleshooting after supper.
My question: is there a known incompatibility between this DirecTV (non DVR) HD receiver and the Toshiba (non-HD) TiVo? I can't get a picture on the TiVo, and I'm not sure why -- I tried searching tivo.com and got frustrated so here I am. :D I can't imagine why they wouldn't be compatible, though -- won't I just get a downgraded signal or does it really not send any signal at all?
