Can the HR10-250 output the picture to more than one source? In other words can I run component to one tv and composite to another tv and see the picture on both?

Sort of.....here are your two options:
1. With just the HR10-250 and 2 TV's, you would need to run component to one set, s-video or composite to another. You would then have to set the output of the HR10-250 to 480i. This is the only way to get a signal out of the composite/s-video output. It will then also output 480i from the component as well. So if you are watching SD programming, this would solve your problem, but not with HD content.
2. To do this in HD, you would need an A/V receiver that does switching. For example, I use the Denon AVS-3806. If you run component out of the HR10-250 to the input of the Denon, you can then output to 2 components or 1 HDMI and 1 component outputs to 2 sets at the same time. You could then watch 2 HD sources at the same time. This works great. Same channel on both sets of course :)
Hope this anwsers your question.

Thanks, that answers my question but doesn't solve my problem. What I wanted was to have my big screen in one room with a small tv in the bar area both displaying the same thing. Sometimes HD sometimes not. It doesn't sound like I can do this though. Maybe I just need to get Directv reciver. I hate paying another mirroring fee for that though.

Only when you have the output set to 480i. That's the only resolution that will output on the RCA jacks or SVideo anyway.

If you get a Denon AVS-3806, you could do it with one HR10-250...both in HD or SD. They aren't that expensive.

Thats one option that the DISH VIP 622 MPEG4 DVR has over this DVR, however hopefully that will change with it's MPEG4 replacement from Directv. But then the HR10-250 has two OTA turners (not the best) and the 622 has only one. I use both daily but would think any replacement to the HR10-250 should have two outputs like the DISH VIP 622 DVR. If it does not that may be a good reason for me to just go with E* only. I use my SD Directv Tivo with two outputs to view D* on my other three TVs and this computer without additional receivers. Wife doesn't understand why she can't view a program recorded on the HR-10-250 in another room when anything on Directv's Tivo SD and Dish's VIP 622 DVR she can. She asks can I watch that program in here? I must say no, not recorded on the right [B]DVR!

You can buy a componet splitter. I haven't used one myself, but it looks like it can work. Do a google seach on component splitter or distribution amplifier.
Also, there's another thread here I started last week, asking the exact same question.

This is a major bummer and why my Slinbox is no longer working right. I had my old HDVR2 hooked up to my slingbox. I hooked it up to my 10-250 today and all I got was sound. If I switched to 480i it worked, but not on 720p. :(
I guess I can use the slingbox and the up arrow on it's remote to cycle through, even though there is a delay so you have to make the change on faith, hope it shows up, if not hit up arrow a couple more times, etc., until a picture shows up.

I'd be careful if you go this route. The cheaper brands can introduce lots of noise and signal degradation. You'll pay more but you might want to consider a quality brand like Key Digital.

But, wouldn't a component splitter require that the other TV have a component input?

My sig is in response to JimSpence's sig.
I am disgusted by "Americans" who are willing to throw away the Constitution in order to show their "patriotism."
Maybe you should change your sig to "I love the Constituion. Unless it is being applied to brown people that George Bush told me were my enemy."
