The interesting thing from this article is that the episodes will be premiering on HBO On Demand first -- six days before those episodes will be available to those of us without HBO On Demand.

Can't wait. Might have to download last season to freshen up. Hell, I might as well download Homicide:LOTS to get in a Baltimore frame of mind (as living here doesn't quite do it for me).

Might need to either d/l or DVD past seasons. Had them being recorded for later playback... but TiVo drives died - so getting new ones tomorrow.

They don't mention McNultty - so I wonder if he will be a part of this or not. I just need one "What the hell did I do?"... and the season can begin for me. :D

They are replaying S3 right now on HBO.

I just want to concentrate on S4 and will worry about a possibility of a S5 later.

You have to know the following would go through people's minds:

Hmm... I have HBO but no "On Demand" so I have to wait an extra six days.
Hmm.. as long as I'm waiting six days, I might as well get it via Bittorrent five days early
Hmm... since I've already downloaded it, why do I bother with the subscription to HBO?

Six days doesn't bother me. Now if they put the whole season out at once so I could do a marathon, that I would pay dearly for. :)

And Cablevision folks who choose not to pay the extra $5/month on top of HBO to also get HBO On Demand.

At least Comcast tosses that in with your HBO payment.
