Gabriel's an idiot. Probably had a good shot at winning, but he threw it away.

So do these guys not want to employ any strategy at all? It seems like their picks are completely random and nobody is trying to form any type of alliance. I could be wrong, but didn't alliances get formed in S1 and S2? (Edit: Some brief googling reveals there were alliances in both seasons.) It seems to me though that banding together to get rid of your most serious competition would be an excellent idea. Maybe the format doesn't allow it this time, or there's been a rules change. Doesn't make sense to me.

Glad to see both Kristin and Rebecca gone. Ty blew them away.

Thank God for Chris Porter. Man, I was rolling through his entire roast. This show would be unwatchable otherwise.

Ty definitely deserved it there. I thought his stuff on the first episode was really good too.

I never really liked Gabriel, so I was glad to see him go (I had actually read somewhere online that he was getting tossed, so it made it more interesting to watch the roast).

Kristin definitely needs to develop an act. I thought it was funny they mentioned "Ellen" during the roast because she is definitely channeling her (yeah, I said it). Boy did she tank the roast big time. I'm surprised she didn't base every joke on how small her tats are compared to Gabriel's.

Looks like everyone's prediction about Josh came true, that he wouldn't get called out before the finals. I think he's funny, but Alonzo and Gilbert pretty much said what everyone is thinking about his act, that it's just focused on his CP. I wonder what "America" is going to say about him.

Does anyone know what the house rules are or how the show works? Is everyone actually living together for the entire time the show is going on? Are they getting paid or something? Can they go and do comedy appearances, or see their families?

I thought it was a close call between Ty and Kristen during the head to head. I guess I'm one of the few who was rooting for Kristen. She may not be the last comic standing, but she's the hottest one standing. :)

Generally Kristen is one of my favorites, but he part of her stand-up that we saw last night stunk. Ty did do a lot better than either of the chicks.

Gab really bothered me, and I got the feeling that maybe he could have been able to stay if he didn't follow up by sneaking out his room to make yet another phone call.

I am a big fan of Gab, his stuff is on XM Comedy all the time, really great stuff. He is the most polished of all the guys left. I was thinking it would be between Gab and Chris Porter.

S1 had a very viscious alliance set up. They were some mean guys. S2 had some, but not quite as nasty. This season seemed as if they mostly got along (except that skank that fought all the time).

I think they are using strategy, remember who ever gets voted out gets to choose from the people that voted for them. So if you pick the stongest person, there's a possibility you might go against them in the elimination.

In the beggining I thought Josh would be a one trick pony, but he's shown he has a quick mind and a great sense of humor, I think it'll be him and Chris in the end with Chris winning.

I never really felt one way or another about gabriel until this episode. I really hated that s**t eating grin he had when he got caught and when he got thrown off. Like he felt like it didn't reall matter. That is an insult to the people for whom it does matter. It really is ridiculous to think that there could be a different comic in the finals now if not for gabriel's nonsense.

That said, I really enjoyed the episode. It was not remotely close between ty and the two women. Ty is much more polished.

Gabe is an idiot.

Josh Blue actually has some pretty funny material NOT based on his disability. If thats all people see him for, that's their loss. Chris Porter had a very strong night, but having previously seen his work, he has a pretty limited base of material....much of it involving getting stoned, which is weak humor IMHO.

This was the only episode I've seen this year, but I thought Gabe was just in it for some more exposure. I've seen his special on comedy central. It's not like Dat Phan is the next Sam Kinison since S1.

The host is annoying.

Ty Barnett has also been on comedy central.

They didn't even mention Dat Phan in the pilot of S4. They mentioned the winners of S2 and S3 though.

Anthony Clark (the host) was really funny when he was doing stand-up. In his sitcom (can't remember the name of it, but it sucked bad) and this hosting gig, he's just terrible. He's so wooden as a host. I can't stand Jay Mohr (although I liked him when he was a stand-up before SNL) but I'd much prefer to see him back in that role.

Could be worse: they could have had Dat Phan be the host.

As a host he reminds me a little too much of colin quinn.

what an insult to colin quinn!! he killed recently on howard stern, the artie lange roast. You could've gotten the computer from Solitary to do just as good a job as Anthony Clark.

So glad Rebecca's gone. If you're still at the point that you have to say, "that was pretty funny, huh" after every joke, you're certainly not ready for this. And the way she was moving around during her "elimination" set, I got to thinking the only thing missing in her act (besides humor) was a pole. Kicking, wiggling around (like trying to be sexy or something), kind of like a pole dance without the pole. And she aways seems to come around to toilet humor, which again doesn't really work with grown-ups.

I am sorry to see Kristen go, though I agree with the vote. One of her HUGE mistakes was going "blue" at the Friars club - very big mistake - they don't tolerate that well there. The dead silence after her first punchline (I can't remember what it was, but I think there was an "F" bomb in it) is testimony to that.

I thought Chris was great at the roast, but did it bother anybody else that he really didn't even look up from his papers? More than most, it seemed like he was reading from the paper without even looking up.

Josh throwing away his first page like he did KILLED me!

Not to harsh on any Roz fans, but I still don't know how she made the top five - I would have bet money against it.

It is widely accepted that comics are allowed to read their jokes at a roast. Not sure why that is, but watch any roast, the vast majority of comics are reading. The not looking up is just one style of roasting.

It's all luck. The format of head to head eliminations means it's possible some people skate through without having to tell a joke. She sucks.

Now that was a roast. And Colin was awesome.

All the chicks suck. :) Only funny chick I've ever really seen is Lisa Lampanelli.

Remember S3 or was it S2, when Rich Little (ugh, he was never funny) commented that he didn't appreciate the 'Blue' material. I would have learned from that.

the Friars roasts are always blue. Hell...Phyllis Diller is one of the raunchiest senior citizens I've ever seen.

I like colin quinn, but he sucks as a host on that comedy central show he had. Also he wasn't too good on SNL news. Maybe anthony clark has the same problem, who knows.

Yes chris porter saved this episode for me he was really funny. To be honest none of the 3 deserved to stay I thought even they all had an off night. Gabe is an idiot because he had a real shot at winnin it all. I would say it is a 2 man race between porter and josh blue.
