Channel Logos

How come some Tivos display logos in 'Now Playing' and others dont. I have 2 Tivos, one shows logos and the other does'nt. None have been connected via a network card, to download any logos. How does this happen?

All TiVos come with a minimum setup of logos - BBC Channel 4, a few UK channels and a few Sky channels. If you're seeing no logos at all on one of your TiVos, the logos may well have "disappeared" - which occasionally happens for some unknown reason, though I've never heard of this happening to the indigenous logos.

If however you've got a wide variety of logos (Five, ITV etc) then someone has uploaded them at some point - maybe you have a second hand TiVo?

There's more to it than just getting the dimensions right.

The dimensions are 65x55 for type 1 logos and 100x35 for type 2 - but you need a special temporary masking palette if you're going to be creating your own.
