For some reason my R10 only has guide data up thru 7/6. It dials out just fine and the account is in good standing so I have no idea why the guide data ends tomorrow. My Sony Tivo has data thru 7/17 which is what I expected.
I first noticed that the R10 was screwed up when Letterman started tonight and it did not label it as such. So I hit guide and all channels had the same message. Something like "to be announced" or something like that.

I robooted the R10 and performed 2 calls. Finally the data was back for the current shows but it still states guide data thru 7/6.

Anyone else seen this before?

The phone call has nothing to do with the guide data. All the guide data comes over the satellite. There is a bug on the DirecTiVo that it can sometimes loose sync with the guide data stream from the satellite. A simple restart will fix the problem. The complete guide data will be available in 24-48 hours.

oh yeah I knew that. Not sure where my mind is tonight. I forgot the guide data comes via satellite. I guess it was the reboot that at least gave the current shows back their titles. I guess the rest of the data will download tonight or if it's currently there it will repropagate tonight. Or at least I hope.

I guess there is no way to initiate the guide down load then correct?

Just want to make sure my season passes record tomorrow.

There is no way to force the guide data download. It usually happens in the middle of the night automatically. You can go to the system information screen and look there for info, it will tell when the last successful data download occurred and when the next download is scheduled.

if your DTiVo won't get guide data at all (to be announced on all channels), try going through all 32 transponders in the signal meter.

don't know why, but it works.

The guide data streams from the 101 satellite throughout the day.

Seems to have straightened out eventually after the reboot. Just took a while to build the data.

My HDTivo was having the same problem. I was down to only a single day of guide data. This is the only time in 3 years of Directivo use that I have had to reboot to get the guide data to receive properly.
