After installing the PTVupgrade drive in my HR10-250 last weekend, the channel logos are showing up sporadically in my Now Playing list. Notably missing are logos for ESPN (73), TNT-HD (75), and G4 (354). I've done some research and have found these 2 files need to be downloaded into the TiVo's var/tmp directory:

logo-67.slice
dbload30.tcl

Using Windows Command, I could not figure out how to get past the ftp> prompt. Every time I tried pwd, I kept getting "syntax error" and "command not recognized". So I decided to download WS_FTP Home 2006 and I've got that up and ready to transfer these 2 files.

Are these the most current "logo files" to transfer to TiVo? Since I am getting some logos and not others, will these files overwrite similar files already in TiVo? Am I jumping the gun since the unit has only been up and running less than a week after installing the new hard drive?

Thanks!

Those are not the latest logos, but they should give you the basic ones you're missing. You can't connect via FTP unless you hack your Tivo with PTVnet or the Zipper. Then you use the IP address of your Tivo in ws_ftp. Other ws_ftp settings are as follows: port23, unix standard host, binary transfer, no passive mode. If you run the Zipper, it will install the logos automatically for you.

Thanks for the response.

I neglected to mention that this drive includes PTVnet. I have also since found the following slice that seems to be a more updated logo file:

LG-standard-v193.slice

Will this file work with the HR10-250?

Thanks!

Well, just about 24 hours later and still no return of the logos I referenced earlier. I also mistakenly loaded the logo-67 slice instead of the LG-standard-v193.slice.

Can I just go back into the TiVo's var/tmp directory, delete the logo-67, replace it with the LG-standard, and then re-do the Telnet sequence and be OK? I have also since read that repeating the guided set-up might bring back the logos. I don't know how that would help since I already did the guided set-up when I installed the PTVnet drive.

Thanks.
