It has come to my attention that COX shuts off their boxes (Pioneer) EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!
Anyone else have to deal with this issue?
Solutions?
Thank - ......as I continue to search for old posts.

I've set my Scientific Atlanta box to turn on with channel changing--this seems to work well, Tivo can "wake up" the box.

You could go down to the office and pound some sense into them. Take a baseball bat with you. But make sure it is the wooden kind, the aluminium ones can give you a nasty shock when you are smashing electronic equipment.

It has come to my attention that COX shuts off their boxes (Pioneer) EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! FYI I am in Orange County CA, Cox market and have the DCT6416 with Passport Echo (and used to have a DCT6200 with Passport) and the box does NOT turns itself off every night, so if it does indeed in your market it must be a local issue to your headend. The only time the box turns itself off is if there is a forced reboot due to a software update or an intentional hit from the headend to reboot it.
